Quality Control

At Bliss Roofing we take quality control very seriously. While a job is in progress we like to stop by daily to ensure proper application procedures as well as good safety practices. This helps to alleviate any problems before they occur.

Our roofers are also given a bonus on each job as an incentive for quality workmanship, as well as a clean jobsite during the job and after it's completion.

After a job is completed a Quality Control Supervisor will walk over a job for a final inspection, ensuring that nothing was overlooked.

One of the most important parts of your roofing project is making sure you hire a quality roofing company to protect your investment and yourself. That is why you need to ask all the right questions and not accept a contractor by price.

Does the contractor have a current license and bond?

If you hire a contractor that is not licensed you have no recourse against them. Call the Construction Contractors Board at 503-378-4621 or visit their website at www.ccb.state.or.us

Also, contact the Better Business bureau for information regarding the contractor at 503-226-3981 or www.thebbb.org

Do they pay their suppliers on time?

If a contractor does not pay their bills on time their supplier can come to you for payment, even if you have already paid you contractor. Ask for supplier references.

How many years have they been in the business?

The contractors that are new in the business may not be in business if you have a problem with the roof years down the road.

How do they handle problem situations?

If there is a problem on your job, know how the contractor will resolve the issue.

Make sure they are experienced in the type of roof you want to install.

Different types of roofing are installed differently and if you contractor installs the roofing incorrectly you could have damage to your home and it will also void the manufactures warranty.

Ask for references.

The best way to know how a contractor will handle your job is to talk to others that have hired the contractor. Ask for names and phone numbers to call and addresses to look at the job for yourself.

Warranty

Make sure you know what the contractors warranty is, because it is different than the manufactures warranty.
